First Days of Life!

I know it has been awhile since I posted an update. We have had some busy days. Since Cameron was born he has been getting medication to keep the hole in his heart open. All babies have the hole, Cameron just needs his to stay open till surgery so his blood can travel to the rest of his body. On Saturday, all of my family, except Jared, and some of Jordan's family came to visit us. It was fun, but just a little crazy. We can have 3 guests in the room, so it took some time to get 12 people all in the room. However, we were so excited to have family visit. We also had 4 kids in the waiting room and it was a small one! Once we got everyone in Cameron's room, we went to supper together. Which wore me out because 3 of my nieces/nephews were fighting for my attention! Lol

Yesterday, Sunday, Cameron got a breathing tube put in and some other lines. He is now incubated, which is all normal to get babies ready for this heart surgery. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday this week. Most likely starting 7:30-8:30 and lasting all day. Before they put the breathing tube in, we got to hold our son for the first time!! We were so thankful and excited. We had been told that it might not be till after surgery, but Cameron had 2 great nurses that made it happen (they both are pregnant and due in the next month). Yesterday Jordan's parents and two youngest brothers came to visit for the first time. Last night Jordan went home so he could work for a couple days. It was hard for him to leave his son and me, but we know he needs to work when he can. My sister Julie stayed the night with me so I wouldnt be alone.

We have had a good day so far today. Cameron is such a precious baby and we love him so much. There are great nurses and doctors here that give Cameron wonderful care.  My mom and unlce came up to visit and get Julie.  Jordan also brought his Grandparents up, he just couldn't stay away he missed us so much!

Thanks for all the prayers! We have been able to feel them. We are taking things one day at a time.

And we know that all things work together for good to
them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
